Bulk Background Remover is built on the open-source components below. Each one is listed with its license and a link to its source. The full license and copyright text for the MIT and OFL components, including the two AI models, is in licenses.txt.

• libheif + libde265LGPL-3.0

  Decodes HEIC photos the browser can't open itself. The version strings inside the shipped build read libheif 1.23.2 and libde265 1.0.15; the libheif-js build notes below give the exact build. Served unmodified from /vendor/libheif/ as separate files, which you may replace with your own build of the library, for example with a local override in your browser's developer tools.

  The JavaScript and WebAssembly build of libheif that provides the files above. This site ships version 1.23.2; its build notes (the install script) name the libheif and libde265 sources it was built from.
